Feedray · Download media
Download photos and videos from Threads
Threads gives you no download button for photos and videos. Feedray adds one to the action row of every post with media: a single photo or video is saved as a file, a carousel as one ZIP.

On a phone? Extensions install on a computer: open feedray.dev in desktop Chrome or Edge.
What you get
A download arrow in the action row of every post with a photo or video, right after the view counter. One click and the file lands in your browser's downloads folder. A carousel is packed into a single ZIP, named after the author and the post and numbered in order, so a set of pictures stays together.
How it works
- Add Feedray to Chrome or Edge and open threads.com as usual.
- On a post with a photo or video, click the download arrow in the action row.
- A single photo or video is saved as a file. A carousel is saved as one ZIP. While it works, the button shows progress such as 1/3, and it turns red if the download failed.
The files come from Threads' own servers straight to your computer, only when you click and only for posts you can see in your feed or on the post's page. Nothing is sent to a third party, and the feature has its own switch in the settings.
A note on rights
Photos and videos belong to whoever made them. Saving something for yourself is one thing, re-posting someone else's work is another. Feedray makes the file easy to get; what you do with it is up to you.
Questions
Can I download a video from a Threads post?
Yes: click the download arrow on the post. The video is saved as a file, MP4 or WebM depending on what Threads serves.
What happens with a carousel?
All its photos and videos are packed into one ZIP with numbered file names (01, 02 and so on). The archive is named like the author's name plus the post's code.
Does it download things in the background?
No. Nothing is fetched until you click the arrow on a post.
Does it work without the rest of Feedray?
Yes. Every feature has its own switch: keep the download button, turn the rest off.
