Feedray · Author's country
See which country a Threads account is from
Threads keeps an account's country on the "About this profile" card, a few taps away from the feed. Feedray prints it right under the author's name, with a note when the account follows you.

What it shows
Under the follower line there is a second grey line: the country, for example Kazakhstan, and after a dot "follows you" if the account follows you, or "mutual" if you follow each other. If an account hides its country, only the follow note is shown, or nothing at all.
Where the country comes from
It is the same information Threads shows on the public "About this profile" card of an account. Feedray reads that card for authors who appear in your feed. It does not guess a location from the text or the language of a post. The follow note uses data Threads has already loaded for the page, so nothing extra is requested for it.
How it works
- Add Feedray to Chrome or Edge and open threads.com as usual.
- Look under the numbers below each name: the country line appears there.
- Don't need it? "Author's country" and "Follows you" have their own switches in the Feedray settings.
Questions
Is the country exact?
It is what Threads displays for the account. The account decides what to show, so treat it as the account's own information, not proof of where a person is.
What does "mutual" mean?
You follow the account and it follows you back. "Follows you" means it follows you and you don't follow it.
Does it work without the rest of Feedray?
Yes. Every feature has its own switch: keep the country line, turn the rest off.
