Feedray · Follower count
See follower counts in the Threads feed
Threads shows a name and a post, and you have to open the profile to find out who is behind it. Feedray prints a line under every author's name: followers, how often they post, and how many likes their posts usually get.

Why it matters
You read a confident take and have no idea if it comes from an account with three followers or three hundred thousand. The same goes for the comments: a reply with a bold claim means something different depending on who wrote it. Opening every profile to check is slow, so most of the time you just guess.
How it works
- Add Feedray to Chrome or Edge and open threads.com as usual.
- Under every author's name in the home feed and in search results you get a line like "12.4K followers, 9 posts in 7 days, average: 85 likes".
- The line also appears for replies shown inside the feed. On a profile page, and for the replies under a post you have opened, Feedray stays quiet on purpose to keep the page clean.
The numbers come from the author's latest own posts, up to ten. Pinned posts and quotes or reposts of other people are left out. Feedray reads the author's public profile page on threads.com when the author scrolls into view, at most one profile every 1.5 seconds, and keeps the result in your browser for 24 hours. Mentions of other accounts inside a post's text do not get a line. The feature has its own switch in the settings.
Questions
What does "average: N likes" mean?
It is the average number of likes on the author's latest own posts, up to ten of them, without pinned posts and without things they only reposted or quoted.
Does Feedray send the accounts I read to a server?
No. The profile pages are read by your browser on threads.com, the results are cached in your browser, and the follower line does not go through the Feedray server.
Why is there no line under replies on an opened post?
Less clutter. Under a post you opened, only the post itself gets the line.
